What Is Personal Branding Photography?

Personal Brand photography is a way to define what you offer with your business, your brand, and yourself. It is a tool to showcase who you are, what you do, and how you do it to potential clients before you ever meet them. According to Nahla Davies, strong personal brands have these things in common;

  • Consistency. Consistent in its tone, offerings, and authenticity.

  • Positivity. No personal brand can be successful if it is pessimistic.

  • Helpful. The last shared note between these personal brands is an attitude of helpfulness. Each brand has something to offer prospective readers, users, shoppers, or consumers.

The 5 Types of Branding Images

During a Personal Brand photo shoot with me, here are the types of photographs you can expect;

  1. The Headshot- this is your “about” photo.

  2. The Environment- What does it look like to work with you? The point of view is from the client to YOU. What is it like, and how might it feel from their perspective.

  3. The Lifestyle- How is your brand reflected in your daily life? These images are aspirational and inspirational. They showcase you living your brand message.

  4. The Details- Visually engaging images and supporting photos that you can use on your social media, website, or any online platform that you use to connect to your clientele. Eye catching and scroll stopping! These images will invite engagement for stories you can tell about your services.

  5. The Unexpected. Some say “candid”, I prefer “unplanned”! We always create a shoot plan before the session to ensure that we get all of the important images, however, I also allow for FREEDOM and INSPIRATION during the photo session for those unexpected moments to shine through! These photos are magical, enthralling, and unexpectedly visually compelling!

“Stories” are collections of images that dive into the heart and soul of your brand. This really is your WHY. It’s also the way your business that will most authentically connect with clients. We will structure your session based on the stories you want to share. This will be our creative guide!

Sometimes clients are not sure which stories to tell or how to show them. No worries! This is BIG PART of what I offer you in my photography service! Prior to the session, you will complete a questionnaire that helps me to understand the unique offering of your business. Sometimes we uncover hidden gems that really help your message shine!
